CPRA Acadian Cultural Heritage Event

CPRA will host its annual Acadian Cultural Heritage event on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.!

This free, family-friendly event connects our community with organizations dedicated to preserving the Acadian traditions that have been passed down through generations of Louisianans. Explore exhibits featuring Cajun dancing, Cajun music, traditional boat building, the Cajun French language, and more as we celebrate the lasting impact of Acadian culture on Louisiana’s heritage.

Kona Ice will be on site with delicious snow cones available for purchase throughout the event! Tours of the River Model will also be provided periodically.
