Location

3935 Louisa Street, New Orleans, LA, USA

About the event

We’ll be building sandbags made of recycled glass sand and recycled burlap which will then be transported to a restoration location in the summer. This volunteering takes place at 3935 Louisa St and is best for people that are comfortable with physical labor. If you’re not comfortable lifting 30lbs, you can help by inspecting and cutting our recycled burlap.

Attire

Closed toe shoes and long-sleeved shirt & pants. Please bring a reusable water bottle!

Additional information

There is limited parking available at the facility, but plenty of street parking available.

This is an active recycling facility, so for your safety, please wait at the front of the building to check in with a staff member who will direct you where to go. Do not walk to the back of the building without checking in with a staff member first.

The event is ongoing.
