Pontchartrain Conservancy: Bayou St. John to Bucktown Bicycle Eco-Tour
Bayou St. John to Bucktown Bicycle Eco-Tour
–
Explore the lakefront by bike with Pontchartrain Conservancy and Bike Easy on October 3 from 9 a.m. to noon!
Join us for an ecological and historical bicycle tour featuring three stops along the lakefront: Bayou St. John, the New Canal Lighthouse, and Bucktown.
Pontchartrain Conservancy staff will share the science, ecology, and history of the lakefront at each destination, while Bike Easy will lead participants between stops and provide a safety and best-practices overview before the ride begins.
This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bike) event, so participants must arrive with their own bicycle. Please bring a helmet as well; Bike Easy will have a limited supply of extras available.
What to Bring:
A full, refillable water bottle
A snack
Sunscreen and a hat
Closed-toe shoes
Comfortable clothing for riding for up to one hour
Participants must be 18 or older, or 16 or older if accompanied by an adult. Register here.
