CRCL: CRCL Marsh Grass Planting – 04.18.24

Volunteer Event Registration & Waiver

Marsh Grass Planting

Montegut, LA

Thursday, April 18th 2024

9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) invites you to join us to plant grasses in partnership with the Pointe-au-Chien Indian Tribe, Glass Half Full, Common Ground Relief and the Lower 9th Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development. We will be planting spartina behind a berm of recycled Christmas trees and recycled glass to protect the eroding marsh. The berm will encourage sediment accretion and allow newly planted grasses to mature with low wave impacts while strengthening the marsh behind.
